The pH adjustment unit serves to stabilize the pH, homogenize the product and fine-tune the specifications when producing SLES and SLS.

When the finished product enters the unit and reaches a set liquid level, the agitator runs at a constant speed at the set rpm. The unit is generally equipped with several stirring tanks and operates in batch mode.

During operation, periodic sampling and testing are required to check parameters such as neutralization value, pH, free oil, dioxane and color. Once product quality has stabilized, the product is transferred to the tank farm.

In addition, an optional post-deaeration system can be fitted to remove excess air bubbles from the adjusted product, yielding a more transparent and better-looking product.
